On Saturday October 1, 2022 the Regina Police Crime Reduction Team with the assistance of the Street Crimes Online Property Unit, completed an investigation with enforcement action in relation to a drug-trafficking investigation within the City of Regina.
A CDSA search warrant was executed on a residence in the 6700 block of Dewdney Ave. in Regina. As a result of the enforcement, 27 year-old Musab MUDATHER of Regina and 26 year-old Ibrahim EL-ZAYLAA of Regina were arrested and charged in relation to the investigation.
During the execution of the search the following items were seized:
- $10,390.00 Canadian Currency;
- 2.83 grams of Fentanyl;
- 45.92 gram of crack cocaine;
- Firearm ammunition; and
- Firearms Parts and accessories.
At the conclusion of the enforcement, EL-ZAYLAA was charged with the following offences:
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance – [5(1) CDSA];
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl [5(2) CDSA];
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order – [145(5)(a) CC];
Musab MUDATHER was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 [355(A) CC]
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance – [5(1) CDSA]
The charged made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court Monday October 3, 2022.
The Crime Reduction Team is a unit made up of members of the Regina Police Service which receives funding for resources and operations from the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing.
