The Regina Police Service is looking for any information the public may have about a robbery/purse-snatching that occurred in Regina yesterday (Tuesday).
On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at about 3:00 p.m., a patrol officer and canine team were dispatched to assist a 40 year-old female who reported that a male had just stolen her purse. This incident happened in the 300 block of Cornwall Street (7th Avenue N and Cornwall). The victim was leaving the bus stop at 7th N and Cornwall with her granddaughter, when she became aware of a male walking behind them. The male grabbed her purse and ran. Neither the victim, nor her grandchild were physically injured in this incident. The suspect was described as a male, wearing a blue medical mask, green hoodie and grey pants; he was seen running northbound in the alley at this location before cutting west-bound into a yard. This investigation is ongoing with officers gathering information including possible video; however, no suspect has been identified so far.
