The Regina Police Service Explosives Disposal Unit has determined that a suspicious package found on a property in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue is a hoax device. There is no risk to the public or police from this package.
This investigation started when police were dispatched at approximately 10:43 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, to a residence in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue. The property owner spotted a package outdoors on the property that appeared suspicious. There was no explanation for how the package had gotten there and its appearance was concerning. The owner contacted police, who dispatched patrol officers along with members of the Explosives Disposal Unit. The package was deemed to be a hoax device, with no potential threat to public safety.
