On August 30, 2022, at approximately 11:45 a.m., police observed a male driving a motorcycle without a licence plate on the 2100 block of Reynolds Street. Police activated lights and sirens to perform a traffic stop around 13th Avenue and Rothwell Street. The motorcyclist did not stop, and instead headed south into the back alley of the 2100 block of Rothwell Street. Police radioed in to report the evasion and stopped. The motorcycle was last seen turning east towards Dixon Crescent.
Police then received information that a motorcycle had collided with a vehicle on Dixon Crescent. Police approached the scene and observed the driver, who had sustained minor injury. EMS attended and the driver was issued SOTI’s and charged with evading police.
Sixty-one year-old Thomas Joseph Peter BOYES, of Regina, is charged with:
- Flight From Peace Officer [CC 320.17].
BOYES was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear on these charges in Provincial Court on October 18, 2022.
