On September 9, 2022, police were dispatched to a robbery located on the 1700 block of Halifax Street in Regina. A taxicab driver was reporting that a male refused to pay his fare, and refused to get out of the vehicle. The taxicab drove the male to the police station, when the male assaulted the driver, and stole the vehicle.
Police located the male in the vehicle nearby, and arrested him. When read a breath demand by police, the male refused to comply.
Thirty-one year-old Julien Christian BAPTISTE, of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, is charged with:
• Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
• Fail to Comply with Demand [CC 320.15(1)]; and
• Impaired Drive [CC 320.14(1)(A)].
BAPTISTE made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, today, September 9, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
