A 21 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.
On Friday, July 15, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., police were dispatched to McDonald Street at Park Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The caller had reported a white vehicle hit a tree and all the airbags were deployed. When officers arrived on scene they located a male in a bush near the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries. Further investigation found the vehicle was stolen from White City. The male was transported to hospital for his injuries. A 21 year-old male, was arrested and charged.
Twenty-one year-old Avison Nash MCKAY, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, s. 355(a) CC; and
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order, s. 145(5)(A) CC;
MCKAY was remanded until he makes his first Provincial Court appearance on July 18, 2022.
