Two adult males: ages 30 and 49, are facing charges following investigation into a weapons call early Thursday morning.
On Thursday, July 7, 2022, at approximately 3:51 a.m., police officers on patrol were flagged down in the area of Abbott Drive and the alley of the 600 block of 17th Avenue. A male indicated someone had just pointed a long-barrelled firearm at him from a vehicle in the alley. The victim was able to point out the vehicle he thought was involved, and officers were able to effect a traffic stop a short time later. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and officers located some ammunition in the vehicle. When police went back to the area where the offence had happened, they found a discarded .22 calibre rifle, believed to have been used in the incident. Further investigation led to charges against both males in custody.
