A 54 year-old male is facing a charge of sexual assault after police investigation into an alleged sexual assault that happened downtown on June 25, 2022.
Police first learned about this allegation on June 26, 2022. The incident is alleged to have happened on June 25th, near 11th Avenue and Scarth Street. The adult female victim was in a small group, in conversation with colleagues, when an unknown male approached her. It’s alleged the male put his arm around her shoulder and then grabbed her buttocks. The male then left the area. Investigation into this incident led to identification of a suspect, and an arrest on July 4, 2022
Fifty-four year-old Alvin Barney SAULTEAUX, of Regina, is charged with Sexual Assault, contrary to section 271 CC. SAULTEAUX was released on an undertaking to appear in Provincial Court on August 23, 2022.
