A 59 year-old female is facing a criminal charge in connection with a vehicle/pedestrian collision yesterday (Thursday).
Just before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, police were dispatched to the intersection of 14th Avenue and Albert Street for a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Witnesses also described the vehicle: a red sedan, leaving the scene. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 32 year-old female victim, who was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious, but not believed to be life-threatening. Officers initiated a traffic stop and took a female driver into custody. Further investigation led to a Hit & Run charge.
