The Regina Police Service is continuing its investigation into a collision yesterday (Wednesday), between a van and a male on a bicycle.
Police were dispatched, at approximately 4:24 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, to the intersection of 4th Avenue and Broad Street for a report of a collision. Several callers indicated a van collided with a male riding a bicycle. EMS was on scene when police arrived. Preliminary investigation indicates the van was proceeding west on 4th Avenue turning north onto Broad Street. It appears the cyclist was moving southbound on the east-side sidewalk of Broad Street. The van and cyclist collided. The 41 year-old cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the van remained at the scene. A Traffic reconstructionist was called to the scene and the road was closed to traffic in all directions. This investigation is continuing.
