The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a series of collisions that occurred today in the city’s north-west, in which a seven year-old child was injured.
At approximately 8:36 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 21st), several police units were dispatched to the 200 block of Dalgleish Drive for a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. The exact chronology of events is still subject to investigation, but it’s believed a truck, operated by an adult male, struck three parked vehicles and two fences. Within this series of collisions, a child was struck and critically injured. NOTE: The chronological order of these events is not confirmed at this time. The child was taken to hospital by EMS. The driver of the truck was also assessed by EMS and transported to hospital.
In order to preserve potential evidence, police blocked off streets in the area of the 200 block of Dalgleish Drive for several hours today. Traffic flow was permitted again at approximately 2:40 p.m.
