The Regina Police Service is advising the public of scenario training scheduled to take place at different locations in the North Central Regina neighbourhood today: Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
This training is part of regularly scheduled training for Regina Police Service Emergency Service Teams. Today’s training will involve members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. The exercises are scheduled to run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today.
Members of the public can expect to see SWAT team members and associated vehicles in North Central Regina today. The public is not involved in the training nor will the public be at risk from the training. Training activities will be limited to specific locations, not the whole neighbourhood. There will be signage advising of the training at each location and residents in the immediate vicinity of the training sites have been notified.
