Three adult males are facing charges in connection with an altercation at a Regina business on Dewdney Avenue on Sunday, November 28th.
Several police units were dispatched at 11:33 p.m., on Sunday, November 28, 2021, to an establishment in the 2000 block of Dewdney Avenue, for a report of an assault. The initial information received indicated some customers had assaulted a staff member by striking him with a pool cue. Police were able to detain three males who had left the premises, based on suspect descriptions given. Investigators also gathered evidence, including video, to form the grounds to lay charges against two of the suspect males. The third male was detained for intoxication and then released; this is a typical disposition to prevent a breach of the peace. This investigation also led to a charge of common assault against the employee/victim.
Twenty-four year-old Donovan Grant HALL, of Regina, is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, section 267(b) CC. Twenty-four year-old Jonathon MARTIN, and 34 year-old Robert Douglas HUBER, both of Regina, are each charged with Level 1 Assault, or Common Assault, section 266 CC.
All of the accused parties are scheduled to make their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on January 17, 2022.
