The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed enforcement on Friday, October 15, 2021, in relation to illegal drug trafficking investigation within the City of Regina.
The RDU executed two CDSA search warrants, one in the 2400 block of Rothwell Street and one in the 100 block of Procter Place.
As a result of the enforcement, 32 year-old Luther JEAN-GILLES, of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested in relation to the investigation.
Approximately 220 grams of cocaine, currency, along with multiple cell phones and other evidence to support drug trafficking were seized.
JEAN-GILLES was charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine – S.5(2) CDSA
- Possessing proceeds of crime under $5000 – S.355(b) CCC
- Possession of an identity document which relates to another person – S.56.1(1) CCC
- Possession of a forged identity document with intent to commit an offence – S368(1)(D) CCC
JEAN-GILLES made his first court appearance on October 18, 2021.
