A 30 year-old female is facing charges in connection with a recent Robbery and Kidnapping incident.
Through investigation, police learned that the victim a 34 year-old male, was in contact with a female through a messaging service, the afternoon of October 9, 2021. The two agreed to get together in person, but things went awry when the male found himself in an unfamiliar house, with a group of unknown people. It’s alleged the victim was kidnapped, assaulted and robbed before being made to take unknown substances believed to be drugs. The suspects eventually returned the male to his home, but left with the victim’s car, some electronic equipment and other personal items. The victim reported the ordeal to police and, as the result of investigation one of the suspects was identified. This suspect was located by police at about 5:15 p.m. on October 17th in the area of the 1400 block of Argyle Street. She was arrested without incident and charged. This investigation is ongoing.
Thirty year-old Sarah Dawn Louisa WILM, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery, s. 344(1)(b) CC;
- Assault with a weapon (pellet gun), s. 267(a) CC;
- Administer noxious thing (drugs), s. 245 CC;
- Kidnapping, s. 279(1) CC; and
- Extortion, s. 346(1.1)(b) CC.
WILM made her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021.
