Two people are facing charges in connection with a weapons incident at a Regina business on Friday, October 1, 2021.
At approximately 3:23 p.m., police were dispatched to a retail business on the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue for a report of an altercation involving a firearm. Information received was that a female was damaging merchandise and a male was seen in possession of a firearm.
Police arrived and located a male and female, who were arrested. The male dropped an imitation firearm weapon prior to arrest. A search of the male revealed a BB gun, and a search of the female revealed a knife and canisters of animal deterrent.
Twenty-seven year-old Emily Elizabeth WILSON, of Regina, is charged with:
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]; and
- Mischief Under $5,000 [CC 430(4)].
Nineteen year-old Nakayle Leon John RIDDEL, of Regina is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of a Weapon [CC 88].
Both are scheduled to make their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on November 25, 2021.
