On September 29, 2021 at approximately 5:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Cameron St., in regards to an injured male laying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. Police attended but were initially unable to locate the male.
At approximately 11:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Robinson St., in regards to a male with a gunshot wound. On arrival, a 19 year old male victim was located inside a residence with a gunshot wound.
Police determined that at approximately 5:40 p.m., the victim was walking in the East lane of the 1100 block of Robinson St., when a male suspect approached him and pulled out a firearm while demanding money. The suspect then shot the victim and fled the area.
The suspect was described as Indigenous, 5’10”, with tattoos under both eyes described as two letters under each eye, wearing a purple Toronto Raptors hat.
The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
