On Sunday, September 26, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 1300 block Rae Street for the report of a weapons offence involving a knife. A male was inside a residence threatening a senior citizen with a knife, then exited.
Police arrived and canvassed the area. The suspect was located on the 1100 block of Retallack Street, and arrested. A search revealed a knife.
Nineteen year-old Desmond KEY, of Regina, is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]; and
- Carrying Concealed Weapon [CC 90].
KEY made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, September 27, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
