A Regina male is facing charges after a robbery at a bank on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at approximately 10:50 a.m., police were dispatched to a financial institution in the 5800 block of Rochdale Boulevard for a report of a robbery. Early information suggested a male walked into the business and demanded money from staff at the business. The male got away with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen getting into a vehicle and leaving the bank.
Through investigation, police were able to identify the male believed to be the suspect in the robbery. Later in the day, officers located the suspect male in the area of 7th Avenue and McIntyre Street. He was suffering from an unrelated medical issue and was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment. Once he was released from hospital, he was taken into police custody and charged. Thirty-six year-old Adrian Angus SOUTHWIND, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B);
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 555 (B)];
- Fail To Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1 (1)].
SOUTHWIND will make his first appearance on the charges in Provincial Court this afternoon (July 28, 2021) at 2:00 p.m.
