A 44 year-old female is facing a number of charges, including drug trafficking, after police were called to the scene of a driver slumped over the steering wheel of her car, yesterday: May 19, 2021.
Police were dispatched to the 4600 block of Gordon Road yesterday, at about 7:51 p.m., for a report that a blue Chevrolet Blazer was stopped beside a business and the female driver appeared to be slumped over the wheel. Before police arrived, the driver left the 4600 block and drove into a restaurant drive-through. Police stopped the Blazer as it exited the drive-through and noted what appeared to be signs of driver impairment. Further investigation revealed the driver was the subject of a warrant on a robbery file, and was also a suspended driver. The vehicle was also unregistered. A search at the scene yielded substances and pills which were later confirmed to be drugs (methamphetamine, fentanyl, hydromorphone), a working scale, knives, and a substantial quantity of cash. The female was arrested and charged.
Forty-four year-old Lisa Bonita DEROCHE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Three charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA;
- Possession of the Proceeds of Crime under $5,000, section 355(b) CC; and

DEROCHE will make her first court appearance on these charges, and her outstanding warrant, before Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. (today), Thursday, May 20, 2021.
