The Regina Police Service had issued sixteen Summary Offence Tickets (SOTIs) under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act for violation of the provinces Public Health Order.
On Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at approximately 2:00 p.m. the Regina Police Service monitored an event organized to protest the provinces Public Health Order regarding COVID-19. Approximately 200 people were in attendance at the protest, which took place in the 2100 block of Victoria Avenue.
Sixteen tickets were issued for failing to comply with the Public Health Order by participating in an outdoor gathering that exceeded ten persons.
