The Regina Police Service has issued a Summary Offence ticket under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act for violation of the provinces Public Health Order, specifically section 61 of the Public Health Act, 1994
regarding the participating in a public/private outdoor gathering of people that exceeds 10 persons.
On Saturday May 1, 2021 at approximately 2:00 p.m. the Regina Police Service monitored an event organized to protest the provinces Public Health Order regarding COVID-19. Approximately thirty people were in attendance at the protest, which took place in the 2100 block of Victoria Avenue. In this particular instance, two males were issued a Summary Offence ticket for failing to comply with the Public Health Order by participating in an outdoor gathering that exceeded 10 persons.
