The Regina Police Service encourages members of the public to report any suspicious activity and take the extra minutes and measures to secure property. Crimes of opportunity – often property crimes like Break & Enter, and Mischief – tend to increase as the weather improves. The “opportunity” occurs when garage and shed doors are left unlocked, or bicycles and other property are left unattended. While enforcement is key to tackling crime, prevention of crime is even more powerful. Every one of us can play a role in helping to keep our community safe.
