A second person has been charged in connection with a March 22nd robbery at a convenience store on 14th Avenue in Regina. A male youth has already been charged in this case.
On March 22, 2021, at approximately 9:24 a.m., police were dispatched to a weapons offence and robbery at a convenience store in the 1200 block of 14th Avenue. A male youth was arrested by police at the scene. A knife and an imitation firearm were seized during investigation. An injured female, assaulted in the incident, was taken to hospital by EMS. Continued investigation into this incident led to the arrest of a second suspect on April 6th.
Thirty-even Shawn Lyle GEDDES, of the Fort Qu’Appelle district, is charged with:
– Robbery [344(1)(b) CC];
– Wearing a Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence [351(2) CC];
– Use of Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence [85(2)(a) CC];
– Carrying a Concealed Weapon [90 CC]; and
– Aggravated Assault [268(1) CC].
GEDDES made his first court appearance on these charges before Provincial Court at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
