A Regina male is facing numerous charges after a string of break and enters resulting in copper theft.
Between January 14, 2021 and March 18, 2021, ten vacant properties, located primarily in the North Central area of Regina, were broken into. During the break and enters, copper piping was removed from the properties and stolen. The damage caused to the properties as a result of the thefts is estimated to be in excess of $50,000.
The investigation into the thefts was led by members of the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit. Investigators identified a suspect believed to be responsible for the break and enters and thefts, and on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., police arrested an adult male. At the time of the arrest, the male was in possession of copper pipe and break and enter tools. As a result:

- 10 X Break and Enter Commit Theft [CC 348];
- Trafficking Property Obtained By Crime [CC 355.2];
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (B)];
- Possession of Break-In Instruments [CC 351 (1)];
- Theft Under $5000 [CC 334 (B)].
GAMBLER made his first appearance in Provincial Court today (Friday, March 19, 2021) at 9:30 a.m.
