Continued investigation into Regina’s 3rd homicide of 2021, has resulted in two significant developments in the case. There has been a stay of proceedings entered in the case of one of the individuals earlier charged. And, there is now another male charged with Second-Degree Murder and Attempt Murder Using a Firearm.
On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 32 year-old Jordon Ivan CYR was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder [235(1) CC] and Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC]. On Friday, February 26, 2021, after further police investigation into the case, the Crown entered a stay of proceedings with respect to these charges. Jordon Ivan CYR has since been released from custody.
The continued investigation into the death of Justin Robert DELORME led to the arrest, on Friday, February 26, 2021, of a 35 year-old Regina male.
Thirty-five year-old Delaney Randell ALBERT, of Regina, is charged with:
- Second-Degree Murder [235(1) CC];
- Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC].
Delaney ALBERT made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021.
Two other individuals are charged in connection with this case. They are: 54 year-old Charles Wayne TAYPOTAT and 35 year-old Richard CRANE. Investigation into this case continues.
