On February 22, 2021, members of the Regina Police Service began an investigation into the theft of a stolen auto, when a white 2019 Acura ILX was stolen from the 5800 block of Rochdale Boulevard. On February 27, 2021, at approximately 03:05 hrs., police located the stolen Acura in the 600 block of 14th Avenue. Two suspects were arrested out of the Acura and taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search of the two suspects and the vehicle revealed two firearms, ammunition and illicit drugs, including Cocaine and Fentanyl.
Two individuals were charged in this investigation:
Kyle Troy Rory TONY, of Regina, was charge with the following:
- Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.00 [355(a) C.C.]
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.00 [355(b) C.C.]
- Possession Contrary to Order X 3 [117.01(1) C.C.]
- Breach of Release Order Possess Drugs [145(5)(a) C.C.]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing it’s Been Tampered With [108(1)(b) C.C.]
- Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime X 2 [96(1) C.C.]
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm X 2 [95(1) C.C.]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Unauthorized X 2 [92(1) C.C.]
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X 2 [91(1) C.C.]
- Carry Concealed Weapon X 2 [90 C.C.]
- Weapons Dangerous X 2 [88 C.C.]
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X 2 (Fentanyl and Cocaine) [5(2) CDSA.]
Jonathan Carlos ANAQUOD, of Regina, was charged with the following:
- Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.00 [355 (a) C.C]
- Possession Contrary to Order. (Firearm) [117.01(1) C.C]
Both suspects are being held for court on Monday March 1, 2021, at 09:30 hrs.
