A 32 year-old Regina male is now the third person accused in a homicide that occurred in Regina on February 21st. The victim of homicide is 32 year-old Justin Robert DELORME of Regina. Two other accused persons have already made their first court appearances on charges of Second Degree Murder.

Background: This investigation began at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 21st, when police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Garnet Street. The early information received indicated there was an injured adult male at that address. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the male, later identified as Justin Robert DELORME, to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. In the investigation of DELORME’s death, police also encountered a second male, who was the victim of an apparent shooting, believed to have occurred at the same address.
Continued investigation into the homicide led to the arrest of a 32 year-old male at approximately 3:00 p.m. in Regina on Tuesday, February 23rd. In addition to a Second-Degree Murder charge, this suspect will also face a charge in connection with the attempted murder of the victim who sustained a gunshot wound in the same incident.
Thirty-two year-old Jordan Ivan CYR, of Regina, is charged with:
- Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC]; and
- Attempt Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC].
CYR will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today: Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
