A second person is now charged in connection with the February 21st homicide of 32 year-old Justin DELORME of Regina, as well as the attempted murder of a second victim. A 54 year-old male, who was arrested on Sunday, February 21st, has already made his first court appearance on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.
Officers were dispatched, at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021, to a residence in the 1000 block of Garnet Street. The early information received indicated there was an injured adult male at that address. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was also dispatched and transported the male, later identified as Justin Robert DELORME, to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. In the investigation of DELORME’s death, police also encountered a second male, who was the victim of an apparent shooting, believed to have occurred at the same address. On Monday, February 22nd, a 35 year-old male suspect was located and arrested in connection with both victims. Investigation is ongoing.
Thirty-five year-old Richard CRANE, of Regina, is charged with:
– Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC]; and
– Attempt Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC].
CRANE will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today: Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
