Five people: four males and one female; are facing charges following investigation into a home invasion incident from over a year ago. This investigation was carried out by members of the Investigative Services Division, with arrests occurring over a period of months.
This investigation began when patrol officers were dispatched to a Break/Enter & Robbery in progress on Westminster Road the afternoon of January 20, 2020. Several police units, including Canine, were dispatched but the suspects had fled before police arrived. Preliminary investigation indicated the then-71 year-old female resident of the house answered a knock at her door and three masked males pushed their way into the house, threatening her with a CEW (Taser). The suspects stole a laptop computer, some prescription medications, and 14 pellet guns. The suspects fled in a Chevrolet Impala, belonging to the victim, just as the two other residents came home. Investigation into this file, by members of the Investigative Services Division, found that the three suspects had been dropped off at the victims’ residence by two other suspects. An extensive investigation identified the suspects and located them, between December, 2020 and February 23, 2021.
The individuals charged in connection with this incident are 33 year-old Michael Edward BRANN, 25 year-old Brooke-Lynn Victoria SELENSKY, 25 year-old Matthew Scott TONE, 34 year-old Daniel Thomas WARD, and 40 year-old Curtis MIKITUK, all of Regina.
