On February 6, 2021, at approximately 3:47 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to the 700 block of Athol Street regarding a 25 year old female victim who was allegedly being held against her will. The victim was communicating with a third party who advised police that when the victim tried to leave the address, she was assaulted and threatened. There was mention that firearms were observed inside the address.
Police surrounded the address and took several individuals into custody. The victim was located unharmed.
As a result of the investigation, eighteen year old Barbara Ann STONECHILD was charged with the following offences:
- Forcible Confinement [CC 279 (2)];
- Assault [CC 267 (C)];
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1 (1)(A)].
STONECHILD will make her first appearance in Provincial Court on Monday February 8, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
