The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a Robbery/Home Invasion that took place early (today) Monday, February 1, 2021.
At approximately 2:53 a.m., Monday, February 1st, police were dispatched to a house in the 1400 block of Wascana Street for a report of a robbery in progress. The caller reported a male suspect had just broken into her house, assaulted her and stole a television. It appeared the suspect had a vehicle in the alley and had left the scene before police arrived. The victim, a 67 year-old female, said she was asleep in her house when she heard noises from the back door. She confronted a male who had broken into her house; he punched her and pushed her down the basement stairs. When she came back up to the main level, the suspect had taken a large TV and was leaving in a vehicle. The victim described her assailant as: male, Caucasian, about 6’ tall, thin build, about 20-30 years old, no moustache or beard, short hair, no hat, wearing a black jacket and blue, possibly black jeans. The victim did not appear to be seriously injured, but EMS was requested and she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
