On Friday, January 29, 2021 at approximately 12:55 a.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a robbery in progress. Early information suggested a male suspect was inside the business, was armed with a knife and was threatening employees. When police arrived, officers located the male suspect inside the business and he was taken into custody without incident. The staff members were not injured and the suspect had not taken anything from the store. As a result:
Thirty-four year-old Cheyenne SAYER, of Regina, has been charged with:
• 2 X Assault With A Weapon [CC 267 (A)];
• 2 X Uttering Threats [CC 264.1 (1)(A)].
SAYER will make his first appearance on the charges in Provincial Court on June 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
