On Friday, December 18th, 2020 at approximately 11:00p.m., police observed a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Ottawa Street. A tire deflation device was deployed at Montreal Street and Saskatchewan Drive and the vehicle came to a rest nearby. The driver and one passenger abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, police took custody of the driver. The passenger was not located.
Twenty three year old Dalton Heska-Lupanko, has been charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime [CC 355(A)]
- 2 X Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5) (A)].
Heska-Lupanko will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on April 15th, 2020.
