A 30 year-old Toronto male has been arrested and charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation concluded earlier this week.
On September 29, 2020, the Regina Drug Unit (RDU) completed a drug trafficking investigation and enforcement action in the 4700 block of 4th Avenue in Regina. Enforcement of the investigation was carried out with the assistance of the Regina Police Service Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). CDSA (Controlled Drug and Substances Act) search warrants were executed, resulting in powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and currency being seized.
As a result of the investigation, 30 year-old Ismail Ahmed HASSEN, of Toronto, Ontario, was charged with the following drug trafficking and Criminal Code offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) S.5(2)CDSA;
- Proceeds of crime over $5000 S.355(a) CC; and
- Possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) S.4(1)CDSA.
HASSEN was released with a future court date of November 18, 2020.
