Three people: a male and two females, are facing drug trafficking charges as well as possession of proceeds of crime as the result of ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina.
On September 20, 2020, members of the Crime Reduction Unit were engaged in an investigation into suspected drug trafficking. This investigation resulted in the execution of CDSA search warrants: in the 1800 block of Prince of Wales Drive, the 3800 block of E. Eastgate Drive and a vehicle. The searches yielded used drug packaging, cash, methamphetamine, fentanyl, three cell phones, a stolen I-D card, a stolen credit card, and paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking. A vehicle was recovered, which was identified as a vehicle stolen out of Sedley, SK. The vehicle had a stolen license plate on it. Three persons were taken into custody without incident.
Thirty-five year-old Dana Robert KVELLO, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine, fentanyl) [s. 5(2) CDSA];
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [s. 355(a) CC]; and
- Breach of JP Release Order [145(5) CC].
Twenty-eight year-old Kiri Michele HAIDER, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine, fentanyl) [s. 5(2) CDSA]; and
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [s. 355(a) CC].
Twenty-six year-old Alana Charollette Marie PETERS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [s. 5(2) CDSA];
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [s. 355(a) CC];
- Possession of Stolen Identity [s. 56.1(1) CC];
- 3 X Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 (vehicle, license plate, credit card) [355(b) CC].
All three accused persons made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020.
