A second person has been charged in connection with a May 30th robbery in which a male victim was forced to inhale and ingest drugs before he was assaulted and robbed by two suspects. A 30 year-old male has already been charged in this case and investigators have now charged a second suspect; a 29 year-old female.
This investigation began when police received a report indicating that, on May 30, 2020, in the early morning hours, a 23 year-old male had just completed a food delivery in east Regina, when he was approached in his vehicle by an unknown male. The suspect opened the victim’s car door, took his phone and then pulled him into a house. It’s alleged the victim was taken to the basement, physically assaulted several times, and forced to inhale and ingest unknown substances, believed to be drugs. The victim was forced to transfer money to his assailant and was then taken to an ATM and made to withdraw more money. By this time, it’s alleged a female suspect had joined the unknown male suspect. Continued investigation into this case, led to charges against a 30 year-old male, on July 19th. On August 22nd, a second suspect was located, arrested and charged in this case.
