A 26 year-old Regina male has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation, following an incident early Sunday morning, in which a 22 year-old male was critically injured.
At approximately 5:39 a.m., on Sunday, June 17, 2012, police were dispatched to a house in the 1800 block of Robinson Street for a report of a male who’d been stabbed. Police arrived and located a 22 year-old male, who was the victim of an apparent stabbing. Investigation indicated a 26 year-old male, known to the victim, was the primary suspect. The suspect had fled the house prior to police arrival. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS. In addition to gathering information from witnesses, police continued their attempts to locate the suspect throughout the day on Sunday. The suspect was located at about 1:24 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012, and arrested without incident. The 26 year-old faces charges in connection with this incident.
Twenty-six year-old Anthony Blake STREETE, DOB: 1986-05-08, of Regina is charged with Aggravated Assault [268(1) CC] and Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC]. STREETE is making his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Monday, June 18th, 2012.
