At approximately 6:00 pm on March 27, 2025, after a month long drug trafficking investigation, the Regina Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant in the 100 Block of Ottawa Street. As a result, a 47 year-old Regina male was arrested. Two other occupants of the house were arrested on unrelated arrest warrants. During the search police located:
- Approximately 594 grams of Cocaine;
- Approximately 908 grams of Fentanyl;
- One prohibited rifle;
- One restricted Handgun;
- Two non-restricted shotguns;
- One non restricted rifle;
- Ammunition;
- Approximately $40,000 cash; and
- Jewelry valued at approximately $15,000.
Forty-seven year-old Preston Dean BOWMAN of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
- Possess proceeds of crime over $5000.00 [C.C. 355]
- 2 X Possess a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition [C.C. 95(1)]
- 3 X Possess firearm knowing the possession was unauthorized [C.C. 92(1)]
- Traffic in a scheduled substance [CDSA 5(1)]
- Possess a prohibited weapon knowing the possession was unauthorized [C.C. 92(2)]
- 3 X Possess firearm contrary to prohibition order [C.C. 117.01 (1)]
BOWMAN made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, Friday March 28, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
