The Property Crimes Unit actively focuses on investigations related to property crimes including break and enters, thefts, and possession of stolen property.
The unit is comprised of six members; including one Sergeant, one Corporal, and 4 Constables. The role of the investigators is to identify trends relating to property crimes, work to identify suspects, and attempt to recover stolen property. Among other investigative techniques, the investigators in the Property Crimes Unit routinely obtain search warrants in an effort to recover stolen property.

Members of the Property Crimes Unit also assist other RPS units in other ongoing street crimes as required including stolen auto, online stolen property unit, drug and gang unit investigations.
