Emergency response, investigations, crime suppression and prevention are core responsibilities of the Regina Police Service.
The Regina Police Service is committed to working collaboratively with the citizens of Regina to deal with significant crime and social issues facing our community. Since the addition of a Crime Prevention Strategist in 2001, our organization has had the capacity to be a part of the research, design and implementation of numerous interagency strategies focused specifically on deeply rooted social problems.
The Crime Prevention Strategist assists in developing effective partnerships within the community and with government institutions to deliver evidence driven crime prevention solutions. By communicating and strategizing with common-interest groups it is hoped that there is less initiative duplication in the community. This collaborative work also helps to identify gaps in services and can successfully construct long-term crime prevention initiatives. We remain committed to being a partner in community safety and well-being in Regina.
