At approximately 8:10 p.m. on May 7, 2026, police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Retallack Street for a report of a weapons offence. Information received indicated multiple individuals were involved in a physical altercation.
A police canine unit arrived on scene and located a group of individuals matching the suspect descriptions. Police attempted to take a male suspect into custody but the suspect did not comply. At this time the Police Service Dog (PSD) was deployed to assist in the arrest and made contact with the suspect, biting him on the arm.
The male was taken into custody without further incident and assessed and treated at the scene by EMS for injuries consistent with a dog bite.
A second male suspect was also taken into custody. EMS transported him to hospital for assessment and treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening.
As a result of this investigation, 18 year-old Jace CRAWFORD is charged with:
- 3 x Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)];
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)]; and
- Assault [CC 266].
18 year-old Marcus WALLINGTON is charged with:
- 3 x Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)];
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Assault [CC 266]; and
- Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
Both CRAWFORD and WALLINGTON made their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court, this morning, May 8, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
