At approximately 6:10 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Robinson Street following a report of a weapons offence involving a firearm.
The complainant reported that an unknown male was at their back door and appeared to be attempting to enter the residence. When addressed, the male allegedly threatened the resident with a weapon.
Responding officers received information that the suspects were travelling northbound in an alley east of Retallack Street. Officers located two individuals on foot in the 1200 block of Rae Street and issued verbal commands. Both individuals complied with police direction.
Following further investigation, one individual was determined not to be involved and was released at the scene. One male was arrested without incident at approximately 6:50 p.m. Subsequent to the arrest, officers seized a rifle receiver and a knife.
As a result, 27 year-old Tyler GOFORTH, is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Carrying Concealed Weapon [CC 90]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
GOFORTH made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, April 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
