On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at approximately 9:40 a.m., police were alerted to a robbery in the area of Dewdney Avenue.
Officers attended the area and were flagged down by individuals in the 2700 block of Dewdney Avenue. Upon speaking with them, police learned that a victim had been robbed and pushed to the ground, causing their head to strike the pavement. The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound toward Albert Street.
EMS attended the scene; however, the victim declined transport to hospital. Shortly thereafter, officers located a female matching the suspect description in the 1600 block of Angus Street. She was arrested without incident. As a result of this investigation,
Twenty-four year-old April DESJARLAIS, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
DESJARLAIS is scheduled to make her first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on May 19, 2026.
