On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at approximately 9:55 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Rae Street for a report of an assault involving multiple individuals.
Officers arrived and located a male victim outside a residence who had been stabbed and bear sprayed. The victim was transported by EMS to hospital to be treated for, what appeared to be, serious but non-life threatening injuries. With the assistance of the Canine Unit, police located two suspects a short time later in the 2600 block of Dewdney Avenue. Both males were taken into custody without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 18 year-old Jacob MCARTHUR, is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm [CC 267(B)];and
- Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
MCARTHUR made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, March 30, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
A 17 year-old male youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm [CC 267(B)].
The youth will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on May 13, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
