At approximately 6:00 p.m. last evening (March 18, 2026) police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Ring Road between Assiniboine Avenue and Wascana Parkway.
Information received was that the driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, was traveling north on Ring Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, travelled through the ditch and struck a tree.
The driver was pulled from the vehicle by several people who witnessed the collision. A short time later, the vehicle started on fire.
When police arrived, Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS were on scene. The male driver was transported by EMS to hospital to be treated for what appeared to be serious but not life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the investigation into the collision continues.
