At approximately 1:45 a.m. this morning (Friday, February 6, 2026) police responded to a report of a male believed to be in possession of a firearm at a business in the 1800 block of Saskatchewan Drive.
Officers arrived on scene, located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. A search of the suspect, subsequent to arrest, revealed a firearm.
As a result of this investigation, 25 year-old Chad RUNNS is charged with:
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]; and
- Carrying Concealed Weapon [CC 90].
RUNNS will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on Monday, March 23, 2026.
