In the early morning hours of Friday, January 30, 2026, at approximately 1:30 a.m., an officer observed a motor vehicle that had been confirmed as stolen.
The officer monitored the vehicle as it traveled from the area of Montague Street and 7th Avenue to the area of Queen Street, where it stopped in the 1200 block. The driver exited the vehicle and began walking away.
The officer attempted to stop the driver. When the driver fled on foot, a police canine was deployed to assist with the apprehension. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and was assessed by EMS for minor injuries consistent with a dog bite.
As a result of this investigation, 34 year-old Amber WATERHEN, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 [CC 355(A)].
WATERHEN made her first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, January 30, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
