At approximately 7:55 p.m. on January 27, 2026, police were called to a business in the 1800 block of Lewvan Drive for a report of a weapons offence involving bear spray. Information provided indicated that three individuals had been sprayed by the suspect before the suspect fled the area on foot.
EMS treated the victims on scene for, what appeared to be, minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 16 year-old male youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
- 3 x Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
