An adult male is facing charges following a break in at a business in the 4800 block of Gordon Road.
At approximately 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, police were alerted to a break and enter in progress. The business told police they were viewing live security footage and could see a male suspect inside the store attempting to pry open a cash register. The suspect had also caused damage to merchandise and deployed a fire extinguisher.
Police arrived a short time later and found the suspect inside the business, holding a metal pry bar. Officers informed the suspect that he was under arrest but the suspect did not comply and attempted to run out of the store, still holding the metal bar.
The RPS Canine Unit deployed a Police Service Dog (PSD) in order to bring the suspect into custody. The suspect continued to resist arrest and was eventually taken into custody. EMS was called to assess the suspect for, what appeared to be, minor injuries consistent with a dog bite. The suspect did not require transport to the hospital for further treatment.
As a result of this investigation, 46 year-old Christian LYNXLEG, is charged with:
- Break and Enter to Commit Theft. [CC 348(1)(B)];
- Mischief Over $5000 [CC 430(3)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Release Order. [CC145(5)(A)].
LYNXLEG made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on December 15, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
